Free contraception service available at community pharmacies

Decorative

A new NHS campaign launches next month to raise awareness of the free contraception service available at community pharmacies.

Young people aged 16–24 can now access contraception directly from a local pharmacy, without needing a prescription from their GP. This makes it quicker and easier to get the support they need, and pharmacists are fully trained to offer advice on the best options available.

To ensure the messaging is clear, engaging, and effective, the NHS is looking for feedback from young people on the posters and language developed.
