The Royal Association for Deaf People is providing independent advocacy to deaf, deafblind and hard-of-hearing people in Derbyshire.

An advocate can support you with:

  • Representing your views, decisions and wishes.
  • Making sure you know your rights.
  • Looking at your options/choices.
  • Helping you feel in control and empowered.
  • Accessing and understanding information by translating written English into BSL.
  • Making sure reasonable adjustments are made to meet your needs.

Drop in: Heanor

Date: 15 July, 19 August, 16 September, 21 October, 18 November and 16 December.

Location: Florence Shipley Residential and Community Care Centre, Market Place, Heanor DE73 7AA.

Drop in: Clay Cross

Date: 3 July, 14 August, 11 September, 9 October, 13 November, 4 December

Location: Derbyshire County Council offices, High Street, Clay Cross S45 9JB
